Attending the event, the representative of Thang Long Import–Export Investment Joint Stock Company (DragonGroup)—Mr. Pham Van Tuan, Director of the Project Management Board of the Gia Lach Expanded Industrial Park—shared DragonGroup’s steadfast orientation toward industrial development aligned with green transformation. He emphasized that for DragonGroup, “green” is not merely an option within the investment portfolio, but a core principle embedded throughout its development model—from industrial manufacturing and industrial real estate to services, commerce, and urban projects.
During the panel discussion, in response to a question regarding the investment orientation for developing a Green Industrial Park in Hue City, Mr. Pham Van Tuan stated that DragonGroup is proposing the La Son Industrial Park project with a total estimated investment of over VND 1,690 billion (approximately USD 67.8 million) and an operating term of 50 years. The project is master-planned as a green industrial park, aiming to attract environmentally friendly industries and logistics activities, apply advanced technologies in management and operations, and encourage industrial symbiosis models. Alongside green infrastructure, DragonGroup places strong emphasis on developing supporting services, creating jobs for the local workforce, and contributing to improvements in community quality of life. He affirmed that La Son is not merely an infrastructure project, but a symbol of a green industrial development strategy that harmonizes economic growth with the preservation of Hue City’s heritage.

DragonGroup’s green transformation journey is clearly reflected through its flagship projects. In the industrial sector, a notable highlight is the DragonTextiles 2 High-Tech Yarn Factory in Hung Yen Province, covering nearly 10 hectares with a total investment of approximately VND 800 billion. The factory operates production lines imported from leading industrial countries such as Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Russia. Beyond its high level of automation, clean production processes, and energy efficiency, the facility is developed under a “green – clean – beautiful” orientation, featuring abundant greenery and energy-saving lighting and air-conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with ESG standards of global supply chains.
In the field of industrial real estate, DragonGroup develops the DragonIZ brand, positioning it as “next-generation industrial fields.” A representative project is the Gia Lach Expanded Industrial Park (DragonIZ Ha Tinh), which is developed in accordance with ESG standards, with a strong focus on resource optimization, wastewater recycling, and encouraging secondary investors to adopt renewable energy solutions and obtain international green certifications. DragonIZ Ha Tinh also strengthens ties with the local community by creating jobs, supporting workforce training, and improving the quality of life for local residents.
Alongside industrial development, DragonGroup has also made its mark in the urban and real estate sectors through landmark projects such as Thai Binh Dragon City, DragonHomes Eco City, and DragonHomes Metropolis. These urban developments not only offer modern and well-equipped living environments but also preserve green spaces, water landscapes, and local cultural identity, contributing to the creation of sustainable communities.
DragonGroup’s participation in and support for this workshop once again reaffirm its development orientation: pioneering the green transition while integrating economic growth, environmental responsibility, and community engagement. Through its ongoing and future projects, DragonGroup aspires to contribute to positioning Hue as a new highlight on the map of green industrial development in Central Vietnam and nationwide, bringing the vision of sustainable development closer to reality.
The workshop attracted the participation of more than 150 delegates, including numerous international experts and business representatives.
Participants jointly discussed strategies to position Hue as a green industrial hub of Central Vietnam.
